George Iliakis
Mr George Iliakis (born 22 January 1975) is a former primary school teacher who taught in Grades 4, 5, and 6 in Victoria. Mr Iliakis completed a Bachelor of Teaching and Media Arts between 2000 and 2004 through Deakin University at the Bundoora Campus. After completing his university studies, court records indicate that Mr Iliakis taught at the following schools:
Narre Warren South College (2004 to 2007);
Wooranna Park Primary School (2008); and
Brighton Grammar School (2009).
In 2010, Mr Iliakis pleaded guilty in the Victorian County Court to owning and accessing child pornography and procuring children for sexual activity. Subsequently, he was sentenced to six years imprisonment with a non parole period of four years. As a result of his conviction, Mr Iliakis was deregistered and disqualified as a teacher in the state of Victoria.
